Vegan or plants slayer?
Just because you eat plant-based food, it does not automatically make you a vegan.
The term ‘vegan’ gets thrown around way too easily. Just because you make ‘vegan’ food AKA plant-deprived food, which basically means you eat fruits, veggies, leaves, grains and legumes, you are not making ‘vegan’ food if you are not living a vegan lifestyle. You just eat plant-based foods and still have no ethical awareness.
Curious people often shy away from ‘vegan’ food because they are afraid to be stigmatized. There is no stigma, just, we are all learning and trying out unknown things. I was vegetarian for most of my life. 5 years ago, I finally made the switch over, first, to plant-foods and eventually, to a vegan lifestyle.
Let’s just be real:
We all eat plant-based foods, however, most people still feel the need to add animal-based items, unfortunately.
If you claim to eat vegan food, then you are a vegan as a person. You have ethical values regarding the treatment of animals and you do not wear or use animal products either.
I am done preaching. 🤪
